Apple releases iPOD firmware v1.0.2 !!!!!!

My friend bought a new philips portable DVD player. Speciality is that, it has a iPOD docking station. Videos and songs from iPOD can be played in the DVD player. So we tried to connect the ipod to it.......

Wow, was able to play an audio song. Now about video ----> "CRAP"... cannot play !!!!

Reason, apple has turned off the 'TV Out' settings. This can only be used with an apple licensed docking station. Isn't this a stupidity commited by Apple...

have a look at the discussion at apple forum

But Apple really came back to customer woes and hence released a new firmware v1.0.2 for iPOD

Still, the TV-out problem is not solved...

had been to an Apple official store here in san diego. The guy in the store is not aware of the TV-Out prob and still sells the 3rd party cable and docking station which are of no use !!!!

They can be used with older iPODs which are mearly available in stores..

What purpose does it serve????

at present, $250 in burning in the pocket...

also, philips player with iPOD dock... isn't worth for the money paid....
